Job summary

Evolution Mining is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join the Open Cut Mining team at Cowal Gold Operations. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will operate production excavators to meet daily targets while upholding strict safety and environmental standards.

You'll work on a well-run mine site with the option of surface or underground work. Relocation support and a comprehensive benefits package are available to help you thrive on site in West Wyalong.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience operating excavators on a mine site.
• Strong safety awareness and hazard identification.
• Ability to work rotating rosters and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operating large excavators in line with mine plans and design tolerances.
• Maintaining dig faces, floor RLs, batters and haul roads to maximise efficiency.
• Completing pre-starts, identifying defects and operating equipment within limits.
• Using MineStar GPS to ensure accuracy and reporting system issues.
• Contributing to safe, productive shifts through clear communication and teamwork.
• Actively participating in pre-starts, toolbox talks and continuous improvement.

Evolution are looking for an experienced Excavator Operator to join our Open Cut Mining team. If you know your way around large production excavators and take pride in safe, efficient operations, this is an opportunity to put your skills to work on a well‑run mine site.Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for operating production excavators to deliver daily mining targets while maintaining strict safety, environmental and equipment standards.
