Job summary

Sims Limited in Bathurst is seeking a hands-on Forklift Operator/Yard Hand to join our team. This day shift role offers consistent hours, on-the-job training, and opportunities to gain new tickets while contributing to safe, efficient yard operations.

You will operate forklifts, load and unload trucks, sort metals, and provide excellent service to customers in the yard, with an emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• A strong work ethic and reliable attendance
• Ability to work independently and stay on task
• A professional, customer-focused approach when dealing with people on-site
• Willingness to learn and take on new tickets over time
• Experience in scrap metal, recycling or a similar industry is a bonus but training will be provided

We're looking for a hands-on Forklift Operator/Yard Hand to join our team at Bathurst. If you're keen to build your skills, we'll back you to pick up extra tickets over time.

This is a day shift role with consistent hours and real variety in the work.

What you'll be doing

• Operating the forklift
• Loading and unloading trucks, skip bins and trailers
• Sorting and grading ferrous and non-ferrous metal

• Helping keep the yard safe and running efficiently
