Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a reliable, hands-on operator to join the Pink Lily and Fitzroy Sands quarries in Rockhampton. The role is full-time with overtime, based locally and requires you to work independently and as part of a quarry team, operating sand dredgers, loaders, washing plants, excavators and related gear.

The ideal candidate will hold a Front End Loader and Excavator ticket, with dredge operations experience and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Front End Loader ticket is required.
• Excavator ticket is required.
• Dredge operations experience and ability to monitor efficiencies to meet daily targets.
• Solid safety mindset with hazard spotting and risk awareness.
• Good communication skills and willingness to speak up in site meetings.

Responsibilities

• Operate sand dredgers, front end loaders, and excavation equipment.
• Run fixed and mobile sand washing and screening plants; support general quarry operations.
• Assist with pre-start checks, fault finding, and basic maintenance of plant.
