Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a reliable, hands-on operator to join the Pink Lily and Fitzroy Sands quarries, based in Rockhampton. The role is full-time with overtime as required, working both independently and within the production team to operate sand dredgers, loaders, and washing plants.

Qualifications include Front End Loader and Excavator tickets, with HR truck licence and forklift ticket highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Front End Loader ticket required.
• Excavator ticket required.
• Dredge operations with focus on daily production targets.
• Experience with mobile and fixed sand plants, pre-starts, fault finding, and basic maintenance.
• Solid safety mindset and hazard spotting.
• Good communication and willingness to speak up in site meetings.
• HR truck licence is highly regarded but not essential.
• Forklift ticket is highly regarded but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate sand dredgers, front end loaders, fixed and mobile sand washing and screening plants, and excavators.
• Work as part of the sand production operation team and independently as required.
• Monitor operational efficiencies to meet daily production targets and maintain safety standards.

Pink Lily & Fitzroy Sands Quarries - Rockhampton Heidelberg Materials is chasing a reliable, hands-on operator to join the crew at our Pink Lily and Fitzroy Sands quarries.

About the Role:

The position is full-time with overtime as required based in Rockhampton. The successful applicant must be able to work both independent and part of the sand production operation team. You'll be on the tools operating: Sand Dredgers Front end loaders Fixed and mobile sand washing and screening plants Excavators Other general quarry gear

Background and Experience required:

• Front End Loader ticket
• Excavator ticket
• Dredge operations including monitoring operational efficiencies to maximize and achieve daily production targets
• Experience with mobile and fixed plant pre-starts, fault finding and basic maintenance
• Solid safety mindset and ability to spot hazards
• Good communication skills and willingness to speak up in site meetings
• HR truck licence (highly regarded, but not essential)
• Forklift ticket (highly regarded, but not essential)
