Job summary

Ridley is seeking a safety-focused Operator to support the Cairns Product Distribution Centre in production, handling, storage and dispatch of fertiliser products.

This hands-on role requires operating fixed and mobile plant, following site procedures, and contributing to Ridley’s Zero Harm culture. You will join an experienced team and help drive continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience operating fixed and/or mobile plant within a production, manufacturing, logistics or distribution environment.
• Strong commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Current Queensland Driver Licence.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Sound computer skills, including experience with ERP systems such as SAP or D365 (desirable).
• Loader or other mobile plant competency (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Safely operate fixed and mobile plant equipment to support production, product handling, storage and dispatch activities.
• Complete production and dispatch activities in accordance with operational schedules, quality standards and site procedures.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance issues to support plant reliability.
• Accurately complete operational records and ERP transactions (SAP/D365).
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and environmental compliance across the site.
• Follow safe work procedures and actively contribute to Ridley's Zero Harm culture.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors and transport providers to achieve operational and customer service outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, productivity and operational performance.
