Job summary

Ausgrid is seeking an Operations Transition Manager to lead the governance and delivery of Transition Services Agreements for metering during the separation of PLUSES. You will oversee service continuity, performance against contractual obligations, and collaboration across Ausgrid, buyers, service providers, and internal teams.

The role requires extensive experience in complex transition programs, strong governance, and exceptional stakeholder engagement to drive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading complex transition, program, operational governance or TSA delivery activities within large-scale, complex organisations.
• Demonstrated success managing service agreements, contractual obligations, SLAs and vendor or partner performance.
• Strong governance, reporting, financial oversight and risk management capability, with a track record of driving accountability and outcomes.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence senior executives, commercial partners and cross-functional teams.
• Experience coordinating and aligning multiple operational, commercial and technical stakeholders to deliver integrated outcomes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to proactively identify risks, resolve issues and improve performance.
• A collaborative leadership style that enables outcomes through influence rather than direct line management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the governance and delivery of the Metering Transition Services Agreement (TSA), ensuring contractual obligations, service levels, compliance requirements and performance outcomes are achieved.
• Monitor and optimise TSA performance by proactively managing risks, service issues, disputes and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain operational continuity.
• Provide oversight of TSA financial management and change control processes, ensuring transparency, accuracy and effective governance of service scope, costs and commercial outcomes.
• Support separation and transition activities through executive reporting, stakeholder engagement, exit planning and knowledge transfer to ensure a seamless transition for customers and market participants.
• Drive continuous improvement and documentation of lessons learned to support future transition or separation activities.

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in one of Ausgrid's most significant business transformation initiatives. As the Operations Transition Manager, you'll lead the governance and delivery of Transition Services Agreements (TSAs) supporting metering services during the separation of PLUSES.

Operating at the intersection of operations, commercial management and stakeholder engagement, you'll be responsible for ensuring service continuity, managing performance against contractual obligations, and driving effective collaboration between Ausgrid, the buyer, service providers and internal teams. You'll be instrumental in ensuring customers, market participants and stakeholders experience a seamless transition throughout the TSA period.

Highly regarded:

• Knowledge of metering operations, energy market services, data management or broader utility environments.
• Experience in mergers, acquisitions, divestments or organisational separation programs, including TSA establishment, governance and exit planning.
• Understanding of National Electricity Market (NEM) processes and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience working within infrastructure, utilities or other highly regulated industries.
• Formal qualifications in Program or Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2 or similar) and/or Change Management
