Job summary

Amazon Commercial Services Pty Ltd is hiring Process Assistants to support Middle Mile operations. You will manage labor allocation, lead meetings, and assign duties while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

The role involves variable 4-on/3-off shift patterns including weekends. Responsibilities include tracking labor hours, training associates, ensuring SOP compliance, and driving operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Previous experience leading teams.
• Experience working within a similar field (manufacturing/distribution/warehousing/large retail).
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train and assist team members.
• Availability to work 38 hours+/week, and overtime as required.
• Experience working with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Identify and address safety hazards within the work area, and participate in safety initiatives
• Coach associates on ways to work safely at all times
• Ensure all job injuries are reported timely in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Provide leave coverage for Shift Managers

Process Assistants form an integral part of Amazon's Middle Mile operations, contributing significantly to the team's dynamic growth. Process Assistants are responsible for daily management of department duties including: allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties, providing work direction and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.

Please note the shift pattern is variable, based on 4 days on and 3 days off including weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Leadership experience directly managing others
• Comfortable in lifting up to 16 kilos, stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach, all with or without reasonable accommodation
• Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement
