Job summary

Cleanaway is seeking an experienced Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations in Cairns, coordinating driver runs and delivering high service levels. You will mentor a hands-on team and ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and cost control across shifts.

The role focuses on improving collection efficiency, safety performance, and workforce engagement, while maintaining strong customer service. A heavy rigid licence is preferred but not essential, with full-time permanent employment and on-site

Qualifications

• Experienced Supervisor with a transport & logistics background.
• Exposure to and knowledge of comprehensive safety management systems.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire teams.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of HSE and environmental legislation.
• Knowledge of the NHV legislation.

Responsibilities

• Enforce and monitor all NHVR regulations.
• Manage and prepare detailed reports on labour efficiencies and overall cost management.
• Lead performance management investigations and outcomes.

Your new role:
