Job summary

Cleanaway Waste Management is seeking an experienced Supervisor to lead a busy transport and logistics team in Morningside, QLD. The role focuses on coordinating day-to-day driver runs, maintaining safety and NHVR compliance, and driving operational efficiencies across collection operations.

You will mentor the team, manage maintenance tasks, and deliver strong customer service while adhering to safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Experienced Supervisor with a transport & logistics background.
• Exposure to and knowledge of comprehensive safety management systems.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire teams.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of HSE and environmental legislation.
• Knowledge of the NHVR regulations.
• A passion for safety and sustainability.
• Heavy Rigid driver’s licence is desirable, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational efficiencies within the team, continual review and improvement of collection runs and service delivery.
• Develop and mentor a collaborative, efficient and engaged team.
• Coordinate the scheduling of the day-to-day operations of driver runs.
• Ensure all pre-start, post-run, and minor day-to-day maintenance tasks are carried out on all equipment.
• Lead a high level of customer service within the collection teams, investigate and resolve service issues.
• Consult with line management in the development and management of operational targets.
• Enforce and monitor all NHVR regulations.
• Manage and prepare detailed reports on labour efficiencies and overall cost management.
• Lead performance management investigations and outcomes.
