Job summary

ARC Metalcentre in Albury is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead daily Reinforcing production, dispatch and related activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will supervise a team of operators, coordinate schedules and resources, uphold safety and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement. This hands-on role combines planning, people leadership and on-floor support to deliver outstanding service to customers.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading or supervising teams within manufacturing, steel, building products, logistics or other fast-paced operational environments
• Strong planning, problem-solving and multitasking skills
• Experience working to daily operational targets and safety compliance standards
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication with customers and cross-functional teams
• Proficiency with ERP and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Lead a range of daily production, dispatch and operational activities to meet safety, customer, and delivery targets.
• Supervise, coach and develop a team of operators, fostering a strong safety-first culture.
• Coordinate production schedules, delivery requirements and resource allocation to optimise performance.
• Partner with sales, customers, transport providers and other branches to manage priorities and resolve issues.
• Monitor operational performance, inventory and quality outcomes, ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Conduct toolbox talks, training, safety observations and incident investigations where required.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity and efficiency, delivering value to customers.

Reporting to the Branch Manager and based at our Albury branch, you will lead the day-to-day operations of our Reinforcing business, ensuring the safe, efficient and timely delivery of production and dispatch activities. As the Operations Supervisor, you'll supervise a team of operators, coordinate production and logistics priorities, drive safety and compliance and help deliver outstanding service to our customers. What you will bring:

• Demonstrated experience leading or supervising teams within manufacturing, steel, building products, logistics or other fast-paced operational environments
• Strong planning, problem-solving and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and adapt quickly to changing customer business demands
• Experience working to daily operational targets, reporting requirements and safety compliance standards
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage with customers, transport providers and cross-functional teams
• Strong computer literacy, including experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office
• Forklift and/or Overhead Crane licences highly regarded but not essential
