InfraBuild ARC site in Sydney's Glendenning area is seeking an Operations Manager to drive the largest manufacturing operation and uphold safety and production targets.

You will own the full P&L, lead production, logistics, scheduling and service, and mentor a high-performing team while delivering continuous improvement and cost efficiencies.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience managing full P&L or significant operational budget.
• Ability to translate financial targets into actionable operations.
• Strong commercial acumen with cost, productivity, inventory experience.
• Experience leading teams in fast-paced manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Solid exposure to production, maintenance, logistics and planning.
• Knowledge of safety systems and risk management.

As the Operations Manager at Glendenning's ARC site, you will be ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of Sydney's largest manufacturing operation while maintaining a strong focus on safety and meeting production targets.

Reporting directly to the NSW Area Manager, this position offers an excellent chance to expand and enhance existing skills.

What you will be doing:

• Take full P&L responsibility for the Glendenning operation, with accountability for revenue, gross margin, operating costs, working capital and overall branch financial performance
• Lead the daily operational performance of the site across production, logistics, scheduling and service execution
• Set and deliver production, volume, service, cost and financial targets, ensuring performance is aligned with the branch budget and business strategy
• Manage and mentor the operations team, creating a high-performing culture through clear accountability, performance management and leadership
• Identify and implement process improvements, productivity initiatives and cost efficiencies to improve profitability
• Lead maintenance planning and reliability improvements to increase machine availability, utilisation and output
• Partner closely with Sales and Commercial teams to maximise customer service, revenue opportunities and profitable volume growth
• Proactively manage inventory, working capital and material utilisation to reduce waste, improve cash flow and protect margin
• Monitor and manage key P&L drivers including labour, freight, conversion costs, maintenance, scrap, productivity and overheads
• Use operational and financial data to identify performance gaps, develop corrective actions and drive continuous improvement
• As a key member of the leadership team, contribute to and influence site and area strategic decisions, budgets and business plans
• Champion a strong safety-first culture, ensuring operational performance never compromises safety or compliance

What you will bring:

• Excellent understanding of continuous improvement, cost management and operational efficiency
• Steel, building products or industrial manufacturing experience is desirable
• Strong understanding of safety systems and risk management
