Job summary

Amazon Commercial Services Pty Ltd is seeking a Step Up Process Assistant to support shift operations, mentor associates, and manage daily activities within the distribution center in Australia. This role provides an opportunity for existing MEL5 employees to step up into a coordinator position for a defined period.

In this role you will be responsible for job allocation, monitoring productivity and safety, and implementing training and development plans.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required.
• Can lift up to 22.2kg, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.

Responsibilities

• Daily Management of shift
• Administrative management of associates
• Job allocation to associates
• Monitoring and mentoring of associates on productivity, quality and safety.
• Analysis of the data reports to identify performance bottlenecks and improve the performance
• Monitor status of problem solve queues
• Responsible for shift quality and associated action plans
• Preparing and implementing training and development plans for associates
• Conduct a 5S audit for the respective work stations on a daily basis
• Implement the formal process control and process improvement mechanisms such as Kaizen
• Essential Skills Defining the transportation process from FC to FC/RSC
• Ensure enough bandwidth in sortation team to ensure peak time delivery management
• Continuously improve the through put and attain a sustained level of delivery performance improvement
