The Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Alice Springs, NT, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational activities for transportable modular building projects. This role manages scheduling, logistics, and coordination of design, manufacture, transport, and installation to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The Operations Manager leads and supports site and office teams, aligns resources, and implements processes and procedures to maintain high standards of service and compliance. Key responsibilities include monitoring operational performance, managing suppliers and subcontractors, addressing operational issues, and driving continuous improvement in efficiency and work quality. The role also involves collaborating with senior leaders on planning, reporting, and risk management, while fostering a positive, safety-focused culture.
We're looking for an experienced leader who knows how to run an operation, lead people and get projects delivered.
You’ll ideally bring at least five years’ experience in Project Management, Program Management, Branch Management or a similar operational leadership position, preferably within the building or construction industry.
You’ll be a confident communicator who can move comfortably between the worksite and the boardroom – building relationships with employees, subcontractors, clients, communities, suppliers and senior leaders.
A Builder's Licence, Trade Qualification and/or formal Project Management qualification will be highly regarded, as will previous experience within the transportable building sector and/or familiarity with delivering projects in remote and regional locations.
You won't be managing from the sidelines. You'll be at the centre of the operation – developing people, solving problems, improving performance and helping deliver projects that make a tangible impact across the region.
