Job summary

Northern Australia Civil is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day plant and labour hire operations across client sites in the Northern Territory and Western Australia. You will coordinate plant allocation, rosters and mobilisation while ensuring safety, efficiency and high-quality delivery.

The role requires a background in civil construction, mining or related industries, with strong leadership, planning and stakeholder management skills.

The Company

Northern Australia Civil is a privately owned civil services business operating throughout the Northern Territory and Western Australia. The business provides wet hire plant and skilled labour solutions to civil, mining and infrastructure clients, while also delivering selected civil contracting works including mine site development, road construction, bulk earthworks, drainage and remote infrastructure.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Operations Manager will lead the day-to-day delivery of plant and labour hire operations across multiple client sites throughout NT and WA.

The role is responsible for coordinating plant, operators and labour resources, ensuring client commitments are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You will also support selected civil projects and drive improvements in planning, utilisation and operational performance.

About You

You are an experienced operational leader with a background in plant hire, labour hire, civil construction, mining or a similar industry. You bring strong commercial awareness, practical leadership skills and the ability to coordinate people, equipment and clients across multiple sites.

Ideally, you will have:

• Strong understanding of utilisation, service delivery and cost control

Experience in wet hire, labour hire or civil operations is key to this role. Qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Logistics or a related field will be well regarded although your years of experience and leadership skills will be equally well regarded
