Job summary

Duckies is seeking an Operations Manager on the Gold Coast to shape how our logistics and supply chain run as we expand into Europe. This is not a caretaker role; it's a chance to build the function from the ground up and directly influence growth with the founder.

You will own the 3PL network across Australia, the UK and the Netherlands, manage Shopify operations, and drive cost efficiencies while building scalable systems and dashboards for teams across commerce and marketing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in operations, ideally in a high-growth DTC or consumer brand.
• Strong practical experience with Shopify, Gorgias or similar.
• Commercial mindset with a real focus on cost and margin.
• A genuine and demonstrable AI-first approach to your work.

Responsibilities

• Own the 3PL network across Australia, the UK and the Netherlands.
• Own inventory, fulfilment and the day-to-day Shopify admin that keeps the store running properly.
• Set up the operational groundwork ahead of new market launches in Europe.
• Optimise unit economics across shipping, 3PL and software costs.
• Build and own the day-to-day systems that let the business keep scaling smoothly.
• Build dashboards and reporting that give customer service, logistics and marketing a clear view of performance.

Duckies was founded in 2021 by Gold Coast parents who couldn't find a shoe they liked for their daughter's first steps, so they decided to make their own. What started with them packing every order themselves from a spare room has grown into a brand trusted by 100,000+ parents internationally.

They are growing fast and expanding further into Europe, and they're looking for an Operations Manager to help shape how operations run as the business moves into new markets. This isn't a caretaker role inside a system that already works. It's a genuine chance to build one from where it stands today.
