Job summary

people2people is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee logistics, warehousing, customer service, technical services and facilities across a well-established global organisation. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will drive growth, improve efficiency and enhance customer outcomes through data-driven decision making.

Job description

This is a rare opportunity to join a well-established global organisation in a newly created Operations Manager role. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll work across logistics, warehousing, customer service, technical services and facilities, helping drive the next phase of operational growth and improvement.

With strong leaders, capable teams and solid processes already in place, this isn't a turnaround role. Instead, we're looking for a commercially minded operational leader who can bring fresh ideas, improve visibility across the business and identify opportunities to enhance performance, efficiency and customer outcomes.

This role will suit someone who enjoys balancing strategy with execution. You'll use data, reporting and business insights to support decision-making, lead continuous improvement initiatives and partner with leaders across the organisation to drive positive change.

Just as importantly, you'll be a strong people leader, able to build capability, influence stakeholders and bring teams on the journey while respecting the expertise and foundations already in place.

About You

You're an experienced Operations Manager from a technical environment who knows how to build credibility, influence stakeholders and create positive change while respecting the strengths, expertise and foundations already in place.

Your experience may come from industries such as medical devices, healthcare equipment, robotics, advanced manufacturing, technical distribution, industrial equipment, healthcare technology or other operationally complex environments where customer outcomes, service delivery and continuous improvement are critical.

• Experience leading operational functions across technical environments, logistics, warehousing, distribution and customer support operations.
• A strong track record of improving processes, efficiency and customer outcomes.
• Strong commercial acumen and a genuine passion for using data and business insights to drive performance, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Experience developing and managing KPIs, reporting and operational metrics.
• A collaborative leadership style and a proven ability to build, mentor and develop high-performing teams.
• The ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on when needed.
• A practical approach to continuous improvement and change management.
• Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP will be highly regarded.
