Job summary

Pickles Auctions is seeking an Operations Team Lead for our Rockhampton branch in Queensland. This permanent role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, reporting to the Branch Business Unit Manager in Townsville. Lead a team of about 20 and drive operational excellence across asset movements, safety, and customer service.

You will be responsible for setting direction, maintaining WHS standards, and achieving branch KPIs while contributing to profitability and overall service improvements.

Qualifications

• Proven ops track record, ideally in Auction or Motor Vehicle industries.
• Self-motivated with hands-on attitude.
• Adaptable in fast-paced environments.
• Strong people management and team motivation.
• Excellent customer service and NPS experience.
• Clear oral and written communication skills.
• Competent MS Office and ability to learn our auction system.
• Understanding of WHS regulations.
• Current Manual Drivers Licence (essential).

Responsibilities

• Lead with impact — Set direction, define roles, and inspire performance for a team of around 20.
• Champion safety — Uphold WHS standards to keep people and customers safe.
• Own operations — Oversee rectification, detailing, inspections, and all site asset movements with precision.
• Safeguard the branch — Manage security, site maintenance, and facility upkeep to ensure smooth operations.
• Deliver results — Hit KPIs aligned with sales channels and vendor requirements.
• Drive profitability — Collaborate with management and staff to achieve budgeted branch profit.
• Lead the way — Participate in the Branch Leadership Team to enhance services and boost customer NPS.
