Job summary

MTJ Chartered Accountants, a growing accounting firm adjacent to Turramurra Station, seeks an experienced Practice Manager to join the Partners and lead day-to-day management and future development of the practice.

You will oversee operational, compliance and administrative functions, support workflow efficiency and staff management, and drive modernization initiatives in this office-based role.

Qualifications

• Several years' experience in a public practice accounting firm.
• Previous Practice Manager or senior administration experience.
• Ability to work closely with Partners and lead the administration team.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Experience with ASIC, corporate secretarial and ATO administration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational, compliance and administrative functions with Partners.
• Work with Partners and accountants to ensure efficient practice operations.
• Own practice management across the firm and participate in strategic projects.
• Support and manage the administration team.
• Oversee ATO lodgement program and ASIC matters.
• Support automation, AI adoption and practice modernisation initiatives.
• Improve workflows, systems and procedures.
