Job summary

Operations - Fleet Controller / Transport Allocator

Yellow Express Taxi Trucks – Melbourne VIC

Yellow Express is currently seeking an experienced Fleet Controller to join our operations team based out of our Hallam headquarters. This role will require you to liaise with customers and our fleet of subcontractor drivers, coordinating pick-ups and deliveries to ensure the operational effectiveness of the fleet. Previous experience in a similar position or within the Transport and Logistics industry is essential.

Role responsibilities:

Providing prompt and appropriate responses to customer booking enquiries and other concerns via phone and email.

Working collaboratively with drivers to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Allocating jobs to drivers via a digital transport management system.

Ensuring driver runs are well-planned to maintain the fleet's operational effectiveness and efficiency.

Supporting other operations team members in managing the day-to-day challenges faced by the fleet.

Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers.
