Job summary

South East Queensland Hauliers in Hemmant is seeking an Operations Coordinator to manage day-to-day transport, warehouse and wash bay activities. You will coordinate containers, cargo and daily jobs and support customs processes, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, teamwork and customer service.

Full training and handover are provided; the role offers a stable 38-hour week, standard hours around 8:00am–4:00pm, and a pathway to growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Solid background in transport, logistics, freight, warehousing, scheduling, administration or customer service.
• Has full Australian working rights.
• Good English literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
• Stays calm and organized in busy environments.
• Can prioritise, problem-solve and get things done.
• Works well with others and fits into a team.
• Takes ownership and doesn’t need to be chased.
• Good computer and administration skills.
• Ready to learn and grow into the role.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day operations across transport, warehouse and wash bay.
• Biosecurity and container inspections.
• Customs clearances and documentation.
• Liaise with customers, customs brokers and freight forwarders.
• Coordinate washing and fumigation requirements.
• Follow up outstanding jobs and issues.
• Keep systems, records and paperwork up to date.
• Manage changing priorities throughout the day.
