Moreton Bay Regional Council in Narangba is seeking a Crew Leader to lead maintenance across parks, gardens and open spaces, supervising a Parks Labourer and coordinating a designated run to keep assets safe and presentable. You will deliver routine tasks including mowing, mulching, pruning and operating plant and equipment, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and to high standards.
A MR truck licence, relevant horticulture qualifications, and progression through the Crew Leader
Preserve and enhance our community’s parks, gardens and open green spaces. Working alongside a Parks Labourer on a designated run, you’ll take a leading role in maintaining Council’s valuable green assets so they remain safe, functional and enjoyable for the community.
This position involves delivering a range of regular maintenance activities across parks, streetscapes and open spaces. Work is typically structured across a planned run, supporting the consistent upkeep of assigned areas and contributing to high quality presentation standards.
This is a hands on role, with a mix of field based work and basic administrative responsibilities to support effective service delivery.
In this role, you’ll coordinate day to day activities, allocate resources and ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards, while supporting the Labourer working alongside you.

You’ll also work with supervisors and other teams to identify improvements, manage resources and ensure maintenance programs are delivered effectively.
You have experience in parks, horticulture or landscape maintenance, along with experience taking the lead on site and coordinating day to day activities. You’ll also bring:
A Certificate III in Horticulture, Parks and Gardens, Landscape Construction or similar is highly desirable and required to progress through the Crew Leader Framework.
