Latrobe Regional Health in Gippsland seeks a compassionate Patient Service Assistant to join our Operating Suite team. This full-time fixed-term role supports patient transport, cleaning, and general service tasks ensuring safe, efficient patient care.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (or equivalent) and strong customer service skills, aligning with our commitment to a respectful, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Healthcare support experience or related certification preferred.
• Ability to transport and transfer patients safely.
• Strong cleaning and infection prevention compliance.
• Excellent communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the safe transport and transfer of patients throughout the Operating Suite, Endoscopy Suite, and Day Procedure Unit.
• Perform cleaning and environmental support duties in accordance with infection prevention, safety standards, and organisational procedures.
• Support the efficient operation of clinical areas by ensuring tasks are completed accurately, safely, and within required timeframes.
• Adhere to all departmental policies, privacy requirements, and workplace health and safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Maintain high standards of customer service with professionalism, compassion, and respect.
