Latrobe Regional Health in Gippsland is seeking a Patient Service Assistant to join the Operating Suite team on a full time (1.0 EFT) fixed-term basis. The role focuses on patient transport, transfers, cleaning services, and general support to ensure safe, efficient and compassionate care across the Operating Suite, Endoscopy Suite and Day Procedure Unit.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or equivalent.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with safe transport and transfer of patients across units.
• Perform cleaning and environmental support duties per infection prevention and safety standards.
• Support efficient operation of clinical areas by completing tasks accurately and on time.
• Adhere to departmental policies, privacy requirements, and WHS standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care.
• Maintain high standards of customer service with professionalism and compassion.
