Job summary

Crystalbrook Sam in Adelaide is seeking a Sous Chef to join our opening team, bringing skill, creativity and culinary passion. You will help build a kitchen culture that is energetic, disciplined and collaborative, aligned with our Responsible Luxury ethos.

You will lead, coach and develop chefs, manage food cost and waste, and ensure top-quality dishes that delight guests across our venues.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent recognised qualification).
• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior culinary experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the front, inspiring a high-performing culinary team.
• Deliver exceptional dishes that celebrate quality produce and consistency.
• Shape kitchen standards, systems and pre-opening processes.
• Coach, develop and motivate chefs at all levels.
• Maintain standards across food quality, hygiene, safety and organisation.
• Collaborate with culinary and operations leaders to deliver memorable guest experiences.
• Own service moments, keeping the kitchen focused under pressure.
• Support menu execution, ordering, stock management and waste reduction.
• Champion Responsible Luxury, sustainability and thoughtful procurement.
• Bring ideas to continually raise the culinary standard.
