Job summary

Pantoro Limited seeks an experienced Open Pit Manager to lead surface mining at the Norseman Gold Project. You will oversee the open pit mining team and maintain alignment with our mining contractor, safety standards and business goals.

This role requires field visibility, strong operational judgement and the ability to align multiple stakeholders around clear priorities, focusing on Production, Planning and WA regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Hold WA Quarry Manager's Certificate of Competency.
• Extensive open pit mining experience in hard rock / gold.
• Proven record leading surface mining teams.
• Strong contractor management and stakeholder engagement.
• Knowledge of WA mining legislation and contemporary safety practices.
• Excellent planning, organisation and prioritisation skills.
• Mining-related degree highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead Pantoro's surface mining team with clear operational direction.
• Oversee safe, efficient and productive open pit mining operations.
• Build and maintain relationships with open pit mining contractor.
• Manage contractor performance against production, safety, cost and operational targets.
• Coordinate with Technical Services, Geology, Survey, Processing, Maintenance, Projects and other functions.
• Maintain short and medium-term planning discipline and address risks.
• Monitor mining performance, costs, and drive corrective actions.
