Job summary

Evolution Mining’s Cowal Gold Operation is seeking a Mine Surveyor – Open Pit to maintain survey data integrity and drive improvements. You will work as part of a team focused on safe, efficient mining outcomes, operating on an 8:6 residential roster at Cowal.

You’ll combine field surveying with data quality, mentoring and continuous improvement, reporting to the Senior Mining Surveyor and collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to shape mine plans.

Qualifications

• A recognised tertiary qualification in Surveying (associate degree or higher).
• Experience in mine surveying, ideally within an open pit mining environment.
• Strong capabilities in QAQC, survey data validation and data management.
• Proficiency with Deswik and modern survey technologies.
• Experience with GNSS, RPAS and photogrammetry methodologies.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across technical disciplines.
• A proactive mindset focused on safety, improvement and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Champion survey data quality, QAQC and governance across the operation.
• Provide trusted technical guidance that supports operational and planning decisions.
• Mentor and develop Survey Technicians, helping build capability within the team.
• Drive improvements in survey systems, workflows and technologies to enhance efficiency.
• Support a safe, high performing mining environment through accurate and reliable survey outcomes.
