Job summary

Evolution Mining is seeking a Mine Surveyor - Open Pit at Cowal Gold Operation in Australia. You will maintain the integrity of survey data and support planning decisions to optimise mining operations.

Working an 8:6 residential roster, you will apply GNSS, RPAS and Deswik technologies, mentor Survey Technicians, and drive improvements to ensure safe, efficient mining outcomes. Join a team focused on career growth, high performance, and collaboration across the operation in a large Australian

Qualifications

• Recognised tertiary qualification in Surveying (associate degree or higher).
• Experience in mine surveying, ideally within an open pit mining environment.
• Strong QAQC and data validation skills.
• Proficiency with Deswik and GNSS/RPAS technologies.

As a Mine Surveyor - Open Pit at Cowal Gold Operation, you'll play a key role in maintaining the integrity of survey data while helping drive continuous improvement across one of Australia's leading gold mining operations. Working an 8:6 residential roster, you'll combine technical expertise, modern survey technologies and strong stakeholder engagement to support safe, efficient and reliable mining outcomes every day.

Reporting to the Senior Mining Surveyor, you'll:

• Champion survey data quality, QAQC and governance across the operation.
• Provide trusted technical guidance that supports operational and planning decisions.
• Mentor and develop Survey Technicians, helping build capability within the team.
• Drive improvements in survey systems, workflows and technologies to enhance efficiency.
• Support a safe, high performing mining environment through accurate and reliable survey outcomes.

You'll be a technically capable mining professional who enjoys combining field based surveying with data quality, mentoring and continuous improvement.

You'll bring:

• A recognised tertiary qualification in Surveying (associate degree or higher)
• Experience in mine surveying, ideally within an open pit mining environment
• Strong capabilities in QAQC, survey data validation and data management
• Proficiency with Deswik and modern survey technologies
• Experience with GNSS, RPAS and photogrammetry methodologies
