Job summary

PLS is seeking a Mining Engineer to lead open pit mining planning and production reporting at our Pilbara operations. You will develop daily and 2-week mine plans, generate regular production reports, and coordinate with geology, surveyors and pit technicians.

A strong safety culture and teamwork are essential in this hands-on role. Requirements include a Mining Engineering degree, WA C class license, 2–3 years in a similar role, and experience with Alastri/Vulcan/Surpac and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
• WA C class driver's license.
• 2-3 yrs experience in a mining engineering role.
• Proficient with mine planning/design software (Alastri, Vulcan, Surpac).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop daily and 2-week mine plans and schedules.
• Generate daily/weekly/monthly production reports.
• Liaise with geology, surveyors and pit technicians.
• Lead daily production meetings and weekly planning sessions.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in all mining activities.
