Job summary

Go Engineering in Western Australia is seeking a Senior Mining Engineer (Underground) for permanent full-time, FIFO and site-based work across WA. You will provide senior production engineering and mine planning support directly within client operations, influencing outcomes with practical technical judgment.

You will lead and mentor engineers, support production targets, and drive continuous improvement and safe operating practices from day one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in mining engineering.
• Experience within open pit, underground, or both mining environments.
• Strong production engineering and operational experience.
• Mine planning and scheduling expertise using Deswik or similar software.
• Sound understanding of mining methods, constraints, and safety systems.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capability.
• Current C Class Driver's Licence.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Deliver senior-level mining engineering support within operating mine sites.
• Lead short and medium-term mine planning activities.
• Develop and maintain practical production schedules and mining sequences.
• Support daily production engineering and drill and blast activities.
• Review and optimise mine plans, schedules, and operational processes.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Provide technical advice and engineering support to site leadership teams.
• Mentor graduate and developing engineers.
• Contribute to statutory compliance requirements and technical reporting.
• Promote safe, efficient, and sustainable mining practices.
