Job summary

PLS is seeking a Drill Supervisor for our Pilgangoora Operation in Western Australia. Reporting to the Drill & Blast Superintendent, you will provide on-site leadership of the drilling team, coordinate contractors, and ensure safe, timely drilling to meet weekly and monthly plans.

You will drive continuous improvement, manage equipment maintenance, support the blasting team, and uphold safety standards while delivering production targets on an 8/6 dayshift and 7/7 nightshift roster.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years open pit mining or quarry experience.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
• Competent in MS Office (Excel/Word).
• Dangerous Goods Security Card (or application).
• Manual C Class licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, through coaching and mentoring, for the Drilling Team.
• Coordinate Drilling teams to ensure safe, effective drill operations and planning.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and Daily pit inspections.
• Work with blasting supervisor to plan daily/weekly/monthly mining schedules.
• Ensure team safety, environment, community and production targets are met.
• Coordinate contractors to deliver to budget and maintain contract conditions.
• Input into drill pattern design and continuous improvement of drilling.
