Job summary

PLS Group is seeking a Mining Supervisor to lead and oversee open-cut mining operations at our Pilgangoora site in the Pilbara region. This permanent full-time role offers FIFO days/nights from Perth or DIDO arrangements, with a focus on safe, efficient execution and strong team leadership.

You will coach frontline leaders, manage safety, production plans, and stakeholder relationships to deliver the mine plan. WA DMIRS compliance and S26 supervision are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in open-cut mining operations or projects.
• Strong knowledge of mining equipment, processes, safety regulations and compliance.
• Familiarity with WA DMIRS guidelines and WHS risks.
• Effective communication, leadership and project management skills.
• Achievement of production targets within timelines and budgets.
• S26 statutory supervisor qualification and valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure WHS compliance across site and build a safety‑first culture.
• Provide coaching and guidance to team members and leaders.
• Directly manage reports and address work-related issues.
• Deliver clear direction to ensure tasks align with the mine plan.
• Manage operational and employee metrics as directed.
• Oversee daily activity and office duties supporting operations.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships to deliver the mine plan.
• Attend mine plan meetings and execute weekly plans.
• Collaborate with training to lift fleet operation standards.
• Contribute to environmental management and life-of-mine initiatives.
