Job summary

Glencore Australia is seeking a motivated Mining Supervisor for the Hunter Valley Operations in NSW. Reporting to the Mining Coordinator, you will lead a team of mining operators and step-up supervisors, ensuring safe, efficient production and regulatory compliance.

This role offers development through mentoring from senior managers, exposure to a large, dynamic pit, and opportunities to advance within the organisation. A strong safety mindset and stakeholder collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Open Cut Examiners Certificate of Competency and current practicing certificate.
• Extensive experience in the mining industry.
• Experience in complex mining operations such as steep dips and underground workings.
• Proven leadership capabilities and ability to lead a diverse team.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to build and foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to a team of mining operators and step-up supervisors.
• Mentor up-and-coming step ups.
• Foster an inclusive and positive culture.
• Maintain a high level of safety performance and culture.
• Coordinate mining activities to optimise production.
• Ensure coal is prepared for delivery according to planned safety, quality and production targets.
