Glencore’s Bulga Open Cut in the NSW Hunter Valley seeks a Senior Mining Supervisor to lead a high performing mining team of over 100 operators and supervisors. You will provide direction, mentorship, and technical guidance to ensure the mine plan is executed safely and efficiently, maintaining a strong safety culture and environmental responsibility.

Qualifications

• Must hold NSW Open Cut Examiners Certificate of Competency with current practicing certificate.
• Extensive experience in open cut coal operations is essential.
• Experience in complex mining scenarios (steep dips, potential underground workings).
• Demonstrated leadership across large teams and shift crews.
• Ability to build strong relationships across departments and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to a high performing mining team.
• Mentor supervisors and develop upcoming leaders.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental compliance across the operation.
• Coordinate mining activities to optimise production and efficiency.

The role:

• Provide leadership & direction to a high performing mining team

• Ensure health, safety and environmental awareness
• Coordinate mining activities to optimise production

About you:

• NSW Open Cut Examiners Certificate of Competency & current practicing certificate
• Extensive experience in open cut coal environment
• Experience in a complex mining situation such as steep dipping seems and underground workings
• Proven leadership capabilities and ability to lead a diverse team
• Ability to build and foster strong working relationships across all departments
