Job summary

Hunter Valley Operations is seeking a Mining Supervisor to lead a team of mining operators and step-up supervisors. Reporting to the Mining Coordinator, you will drive production targets while fostering a strong safety culture and inclusive workplace.

The role offers development opportunities by mentoring peers and working with experienced superintendents, with exposure to a large pit environment.

Qualifications

• Open Cut Examiners CoC and current practicing certificate required.
• Extensive experience in mining, especially with complex operations.
• Proven leadership and ability to manage a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to a team of mining operators and step-up supervisors.
• Mentor up-and-coming step ups.
• Foster an inclusive and safe culture.
• Maintain high safety performance and positive workplace culture.
• Coordinate mining activities to optimise production.
• Ensure coal is prepared per daily/weekly plans to meet benchmarks.
• Support Operations by coordinating with Dispatch, Mine Services, Drill & Blast.
• Ensure compliance with HSEC and legislative requirements.
