Job summary

Glencore’s Bulga Open Cut in NSW invites applications for Senior Mining Supervisor to lead a high-performing team of over 100 operators and supervisors. You will drive safety, mentor leaders, and coordinate blasting, production, and underground considerations to achieve the mine plan.

Ideal candidates hold NSW Open Cut Examiners and a current practicing certificate with extensive coal mining experience and a proven leadership track record in complex environments.

The role:

• Provide leadership & direction to a high performing mining team
• Mentoring of supervisors and up & coming step ups
• Ensure health, safety and environmental awareness
• Coordinate mining activities to optimise production
• Provide technical guidance in complex mining areas

About you:

• NSW Open Cut Examiners Certificate of Competency & current practicing certificate
• Extensive experience in open cut coal environment
• Experience in a complex mining situation such as steep dipping seems and underground workings
• Proven leadership capabilities and ability to lead a diverse team
• Ability to build and foster strong working relationships across all departments
