Job summary

You will hold a Cert IV in Surface Coal Mining (Open Cut Examiner) with a Practising Certificate, G1/G8/G9, Coal Board Medical, and a valid Australian Driver's license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years coal mining experience.
• G1, G8 & G9, Coal Board Medical, and current driver license.
• Right to work in Australia and pre-employment screening.

About the Role

Depending on your qualifications and experience, responsibilities may include:

Conducting statutory inspections and accident and incident investigations

Leading crews and setting strong safety and compliance standards

Identifying and managing risk

Engaging with production teams, contractors, and site leadership

Supporting site operations to meet safety and production targets

About You

You will hold a Cert IV in Surface Coal Mining (Open Cut Examiner) or equivalent and a current Practicing Certificate along with

5+ years previous experience in coal mining operational roles

G1, G8 & G9

Coal Board Medical

Valid driver's license and proof of right to work in Australia

Must be able to pass pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening

Strong interpersonal skills that foster consultative relationships and influence

Strong leadership qualities, great communication skills, and a professional attitude when working within a team

Current first aid certificate
