Job summary

Coal Recovery Services is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for a copper project in Nyngan. You will oversee day-to-day production activities, develop the operations team and ensure work is performed safely and efficiently.

Working with the site leadership team, you will drive safety culture, maximise equipment utilisation and support achievement of production targets on a long-term project. This contract role offers a pathway to permanency with a 7/7 rotating roster, FIFO/DIDO

Qualifications

• Experience leading production in a mining environment.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop operational teams.
• Strong understanding of production and safety processes.
• Experience with mining equipment (excavators, dozers) is highly regarded.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing operational environment.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and support production crews to meet daily targets.
• Coordinate day-to-day mining activities and allocate resources.
• Promote a strong safety culture across the operation.
• Monitor production performance, equipment utilisation and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Conduct pre-starts, toolbox talks and crew communications.
• Ensure compliance with site procedures, policies and relevant legislation.
• Work closely with Maintenance and other site departments to coordinate operational requirements.
• Provide coaching, mentoring and performance feedback to team members.
• Report on production performance, safety and operational issues.
• Support the development of a positive, accountable and high-performing team environment.

We are currently looking for experienced Production Supervisor for a copper project in Nyngan.

About the Role

This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing day-to-day production activities, supporting and developing the operational team, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.

Working closely with the broader site leadership team, you will drive a strong safety culture, maximise equipment utilisation and support the achievement of production targets. This is an opportunity to join a long-term project and play an important role in building a high-performing production team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and support production crews to achieve daily targets
• Coordinate day-to-day mining activities and allocate resources effectively

About You

• Demonstrated experience in a Production Supervisor or similar leadership role within a mining environment
• Strong experience in open-cut production mining
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop operational teams
• Strong understanding of production, safety and operational processes
• Experience working with excavators, dozers and other production mining equipment highly regarded
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing operational environment
• Commitment to safety, teamwork and continuous improvement
