Job summary

PCYC NSW is hiring a casual Educator for the OOSH team at Ben Venue. The role delivers fun, creative activities for children from kindergarten to year 6, working as part of a team to provide safe, engaging group classes.

The position offers flexible mornings/afternoons, required working with children checks, and potential benefits like gym access and staff discounts. Training and checks must be completed prior to employment.

Qualifications

• WWCC and National Police Check required.
• Geccko National Child Safety Training (if available).
• Food Handler Basics Certificate required.
• First Aid & CPR certification (incl. HLTAID012).
• Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk CHCPRT001.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fun, interactive, engaging and safe group classes.
• Organise games and activities, including physical and creative elements.
• Provide customer service and membership administration duties as required.

Job description

We are currently seeking enthusiastic people to join our OOSH team at PCYC. Whether you are new to the OOSH setting or you are an experienced Educator, if you are passionate about making a fun and an interactive experience for children, then we want you!

Casual position available at PCYC Ben Venue OOSH

$37.11 per hour (inclusive of casual loading)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our OOSH team at PCYC. In this varied and flexible role, classified as an Educator under our Enterprise Agreement, you will be providing positive, fun and creative experiences to children from kindergarten to year 6, and:

• Work as part of a team to deliver fun, interactive, engaging and safe group classes
• Organise games and activities, including physical and creative aspects
• Provide customer service and membership administration duties, as required

About You

Are you a passionate person and haveflexibility to work mornings and afternoons? As well as,

• Do you have the ability to obtain a compliant Working With Children Check and National Police Check?
• Do you have a Geccko National Child Safety Training completion certificate?
• Do you have a Food Handler Basics Certificate?
• Do you have a First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain prior to employment)?
• Do you have a First Aid & CPR certification, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification (HLTAID012)?
• Do you have a Identify and Respond to Children and Young people at risk certification (CHCPRT001)?
• Do you have knowledge and experience in a OOSH setting (desirable but not essential)?
