Job summary

PCYC Hawkesbury is hiring a Level 1: Activities Officer in a casual role to help run gymnastics programs, support participants, and maintain equipment.

The position is classified as Level 1 under the Enterprise Agreement, with afternoon/evening shifts and opportunities to progress within PCYC. A Working with Children Check and National Police Check are required.

Qualifications

• Interest in gymnastics and other sports.
• Current Gymnastics Australia Coach Accreditation or equivalent or willingness to obtain.
• Skills in administration and customer service.
• Reliable and trustworthy for the care of young people.
• Autonomous worker and team player.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with children and customer service.
• Ability to obtain Working With Children Check and National Police Check.

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team to provide positive experiences to young people.In this varied and flexible role, classified as a Level 1: Activities Officer under our Enterprise Agreement, you will be;

• Assisting in the preparation and implementation of PCYC gymnastics programs in Clubs and on occasion in the wider community
• Assist participants in the gymnastics programs
• Checking and maintain gymnastics equipment, including routine testing, in order to achieve the highest standard of safety

• Do you have a current Gymnastics Australia Coach Accreditation or equivalent or the ability to work towards this or have an equivalent level of expertise and experience?

• Are you an autonomous worker as well as a team player?
• Do you have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills?
• Do you have experience in working with children, building relationships and customer service?
• Do you have the ability to obtain a compliant Working With Children Check and National Police Check?
