Job summary

Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School, Tweed Heads, invites an OOSH Service Coordinator to lead after-school care and vacation programs. You’ll plan engaging activities, manage daily operations, and ensure child safety while partnering with educators and leadership.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma, Bachelor’s or Master’s in Early Childhood or a related field, possess first aid and working with children checks, and enjoy a collaborative, hands-on environment with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Qualification required: Diploma, Bachelor’s, or Master’s in Early Childhood, Primary Teaching, School-Age Care or related field.
• Approved qualification with no outstanding placement requirements preferred.
• Valid Working With Children Check and related safeguarding trainings.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning of activities and programs (science, sports, arts) for kids.
• Create a safe, inclusive environment where every child feels valued.
• Prepare healthy snacks to maintain energy levels throughout the day.
• Collaborate with Programs Engagement Manager and compliance to ensure quality.
• Engage with stakeholders to build integrated OOSH programs.
• Manage day-to-day operations to ensure smooth service delivery.

Job Details & Role

About your service: Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School, Tweed Heads.

Hourly Rate: $49.88 - $52.15 Per Hour (Including Worker Retention Payment Scheme) + 12% Super.

• Before School Care: 7:00 AM- 8:45 AM
• After School Care: 2:15 PM- 6:00 PM
• Vacation Care: Flexible upto 30 Hours per week.
• Hours: Monday to Friday. Guaranteed all school days.
• Contract Type: Casual (3-week initial contract, commencing 13 October 2026 with strong potential for ongoing opportunity based on performance and reliability).
• Professional development sessions are paid training sessions, and Retention payments are above award.

As our OOSH Service Coordinator you will:

• Be the Visionary: You’re the boss of the service! You’ll plan and program epic science experiments, sports tournaments, fun educational activities and creative arts that kids actually want to do!
• Safety First, Fun Always: Lead a safe, inclusive environment while every child feels like a rockstar.
• Chef it up: Whip up healthy, tasty snacks that keep the energy levels high.
• Champion Quality: Work with your Programs Engagement Manager on Assessment & Ratings with the full backing of our compliance experts at our unit TEG Compass.
• The Community Connector: Ensure every stakeholder is heard and valued while building successful, integrated OOSH programs.
• The Clockwork Catalyst: Manage the day-to-day "business" of the service, ensuring everything runs like clockwork.

What You Bring to the Mix

• The Qualification: You hold a Diploma, Bachelor’s, or Master’s in Early Childhood, Primary Teaching, School-Age Care, Community Services, Youth Work, or a related field.
