Job summary

Experis Austria is seeking an Onsite Deskside Engineer to support end users in Sydney's Macquarie Park. This hands-on role blends desktop troubleshooting with customer interactions and hardware deployment in a dynamic corporate environment.

The successful candidate will install and configure PCs, laptops, printers, and peripherals, provide Level 1 onsite and remote support, and manage IT assets while communicating clearly with users.

Qualifications

• Experience in Desktop Support, Deskside Support, Field Services, or a similar IT support role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, desktop/laptop hardware, and printers.
• Basic networking knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot LAN connectivity issues.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with a user-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt quickly to new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and install PCs, laptops, printers, monitors, and peripheral devices.
• Provide Level 1 onsite and remote support for desktop, laptop, printer, and basic network issues.
• Perform hardware upgrades, replacements, workstation moves, and equipment refresh activities.
• Manage IT assets, including inventory tracking, reporting, user sign-offs, and equipment decommissioning.
• Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams while maintaining strong user communication.
