Datacom is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to deliver End User Services to its customers on-site in Wollongong, NSW. You will provide hardware and software break/fix support, remote assistance, deployment, and relocations to meet client requirements.

Applicants must be an Australian citizen and possess strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills to keep devices and services operating smoothly for business users.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer experience with regard to end user services.
• The ability to prioritise work to ensure achievement of all service level agreements.
• Sound knowledge of laptops, desktop PCs, printers, media and audio-visual equipment, BYOD and mobility.
• Strong verbal and written communication, with ability to clearly explain technical information to non-technical audiences.

Responsabilités

• Be the reliable first point of contact — log, triage and resolve tickets to a documented standard.
• Work through desktop and laptop faults methodically including performance, drivers and patches.
• Handle identity and access requests with accurate approvals and prompt action.
• Provide new starters with prepared devices and standard builds.
• Support mobility devices, policy configuration, and app issues.
• Keep hardware, peripherals and print services running with asset register accuracy.
• Document fixes with clear resolution notes and knowledge base entries.
