Job summary

SRG Global is seeking a highly skilled Surveyor for a major Main Roads project in Western Australia. You will deliver accurate set-out on site and coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers and construction crews.

Reporting to the Survey Manager, you will establish control networks, interpret drawings, manage survey data and ensure compliance with designs. The role requires autonomous work, strong communication, and a commitment to safety and quality on-site.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher qualification in Surveying or Spatial Science, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Experience as a construction/site surveyor on civil infrastructure, roadworks or earthworks projects.
• Strong practical experience in set-out, survey control and construction verification.
• Experience with earthworks, subgrade, pavement, drainage and road construction.
• Proficiency in interpreting drawings, specifications and survey data.
• Knowledge of machine-control systems and software.

Responsibilities

• Undertake accurate survey set-out for civil and road construction activities.
• Establish and verify project survey control networks.
• Interpret drawings, DTMs and construction documentation to identify survey requirements.
• Create and manage survey models and data for set-out and machine control.
• Perform survey checks to ensure compliance with design and tolerances.
• Complete as-constructed surveys and interpret data.
• Prepare survey records, field notes and reports.
• Identify discrepancies between design and conditions and communicate them.
• Provide surveying advice to engineers and project team.
• Support survey procedures, standards and quality requirements.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders regarding surveying activities.
• Assist with efficient surveying and machine-control processes.
• Ensure surveying activities are conducted safely.
