Job summary

Stellar Recruitment Pty is seeking an accomplished Senior Project Engineer to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of civil construction projects in Western Australia. The role is Perth-based with site visits as required and involves complex, remote projects across road construction and maintenance.

You will report to the Civil Manager, manage budgets, schedules, safety, quality and stakeholder relationships, and drive project delivery from mobilisation through to close-out while

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience as Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer in civil construction in Australia.
• Experience delivering Main Roads WA road projects is highly regarded.
• Strong capability in planning, programming, cost control and reporting.
• Experience leading subcontractors, suppliers and site teams across competing priorities.
• Sound knowledge of quality systems, ITPs, technical specifications and construction documentation.
• Commercial strength across variations, forecasting, claims and cost management.
• Clear communication, leadership, organisation and practical problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a close-knit team.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and technical delivery from planning to completion.
• Prepare and manage programs, look-aheads, methodologies and work packs.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, labour and equipment.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, variations, progress claims and commercial reporting.
• Prepare and review ITPs, quality records, procedures and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, design requirements and Australian standards.
• Drive inspections, testing, defect resolution and project close-out.
• Manage project risks, technical issues and productivity opportunities.
• Build trusted relationships with clients, consultants and delivery partners.
• Champion safety, environmental compliance and quality outcomes.
