Job summary

SRG Global is seeking a highly skilled Surveyor to join our on-site team on a major Main Roads project. You will deliver accurate survey set-out, manage survey data and ensure quality on civil construction activities.

Reporting to the Survey Manager, you will work with Project Managers, Engineers and construction crews, applying your experience in machine-control systems and Civil 3D, 12d and Leica/Topcon equipment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher qualification in Surveying or Spatial Science.
• Experience as construction/site surveyor on civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings, models and survey data.
• Experience with machine-control systems and on-site surveying.

Responsibilities

• Undertake accurate and timely survey set-out for civil/road construction.
• Establish, maintain and verify project survey control networks.
• Interpret engineering drawings, DTMs and construction docs for survey needs.
• Create and maintain survey models and digital data for set-out and machine control.
• Perform survey checks and quality control to meet design tolerances.
• Complete as-constructed surveys and interpret survey data for records.
• Undertake quantity and volume calculations and verify design quantities.
• Prepare and maintain survey records, notes, and reports.
• Identify discrepancies between design and site conditions and communicate them.
• Provide technical surveying advice to project team.
• Support procedures, standards and quality requirements for surveying.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and stakeholders as required.
• Assist with efficient surveying and machine-control processes.
• Ensure surveying activities comply with safety and project procedures.
