Job summary

McMahon Services is seeking an experienced WHSEQ Advisor to join our Building & Construction team in Adelaide. You’ll work on-site across SA projects, delivering practical WHSEQ coaching, risk assessments and audits to keep sites safe and compliant.

You’ll partner with project teams and subcontractors to embed safety into day-to-day delivery. With at least 3 years’ WHSEQ experience and a Certificate IV in WHS, you’ll influence safety culture, support SWMS/JSEAs and contribute to continuous

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a WHSEQ/HSE or Safety Advisor role.
Experience in commercial construction projects.
Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety.
Strong knowledge of SWMS, risk assessments, and WHSEQ documentation.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
Ability to travel across SA as required.

Responsibilities

Support the implementation of WHSEQ systems and safety programs across projects.
Partner with project teams to support safe project delivery.
Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments.
Provide practical WHSEQ advice, coaching and mentoring to teams.
Assist with subcontractor onboarding and ongoing compliance.
Participate in project meetings and toolbox talks.
Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
Monitor WHSEQ performance and assist with reporting.
