Job summary

The World Surf League is seeking an experienced Events Operations Manager to join our team in Coolangatta, Queensland. This on-site, full-time role will drive the seamless execution of our world-class surfing events from start to finish.

You will oversee logistics and on-site operations, coordinate with venues, sponsors and volunteers, and manage budgets to deliver on-time, on-budget events. A focus on safety planning and proactive problem-solving is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in large-scale event operations.
• Experience within the sports or entertainment industry is essential.
• Proven track record in managing complex events, budgets and stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all logistical planning and on-site operations for World Surf League events.
• Coordinate with venue managers, sponsors, and volunteers to deliver exceptional experiences for athletes, spectators, and partners.
• Manage event budgets, timelines and resources to ensure on-time delivery and on-budget execution.
• Develop key event safety plans.
• Troubleshoot issues during events and implement contingency plans as needed.
• Continuously seek ways to improve event operations and adopt innovative solutions.
