Job summary

REMONDIS St Marys in Sydney seeks an Operations Manager to lead the on-site transport and collection activities, building a high-performing team and driving safety, efficiency and profitability. • Strong background in heavy vehicles or transport logistics.

• Experience in waste industry or environmental services is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of route optimisation and scheduling.
• Commercial acumen with budgeting and cost-control experience.

• Lead safe, reliable operations: oversee daily collection and transport activities, ensuring services meet safety, compliance and customer requirements.
• Build a high-performing team: coach and develop drivers and supervisors, strengthen accountability and address performance issues constructively.
• Improve productivity: optimise routes, scheduling and resource allocation to improve fleet utilisation and service efficiency.
• Deliver commercial results: take ownership of operational financial performance, manage costs and implement improvements that strengthen profitability.
• Coordinate fleet availability: work closely with the workshop and maintenance teams to support vehicle reliability and minimise downtime.
• Strengthen customer relationships: work with customers and internal teams to resolve service issues and maintain consistent service standards.
• Drive continuous improvement: use operational data and frontline feedback to identify issues, implement changes and track results.
