Job summary

Snowy Hydro is seeking a proactive Project Engineer - Mechanical to provide critical engineering oversight for mechanical construction on the Snowy 2.0 project. The role focuses on safety, specification adherence, and preserving the project’s legacy.

Based on a 14/7 FIFO roster, responsibilities include on-site installation oversight, QA/QC, and coordination with the Site Manager and engineering teams to deliver quality outcomes and a seamless handover upon commissioning.

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical Engineering satisfying eligibility for professional membership.
Proven experience on large-scale civil, infrastructure or heavy industry projects.
Strong ability to navigate contract interfaces and QA/QC processes.

Responsibilities

Installation & oversight on site to ensure compliance with Employer Requirements and IFC drawings.
Quality & compliance: review ITPs, witness points and NCRs.
Site coordination: maintain daily progress records and photos.
Technical support: assist in risk assessments and commissioning readiness.
Participate in commissioning reviews for safe integration of E&M and Civil work.
