Snowy Hydro is seeking a proactive Project Engineer - Mechanical to join the Snowy 2.0 Owners Team. You will provide critical engineering oversight for mechanical construction, ensuring safety, compliance with specifications, and seamless integration with other work packages on a once-in-a-generation project.

This 100% on-site, FIFO role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree, experience in large-scale civil or heavy industrial projects, and strong QA/QC, contract interfaces, and commissioning

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering (eligibility for Engineers Australia Corporate Membership).
• Proven experience on large-scale, complex civil engineering, infrastructure, or heavy industrial projects.

Responsabilités

• Installation & Oversight: Provide daily onsite assurance that Contractor meets Employer Requirements, latest methodologies, and IFC drawings.
• Quality & Compliance: Monitor Witness and Hold Points, review Contractor ITPs, manage NCRs.
• Site Coordination: Ensure daily attendance at active work fronts, maintain records, progress reports, and site photography.
• Technical Support: Review Safety in Design studies, risk assessments, and construction readiness documentation; guide Site Engineers and Technical Officers.
• Commissioning: Participate in commissioning reviews to ensure safe integration between E&M and Civil work packages for handover.
